This purse is based on a grave find in Birka, Sweden. 
My interpretation is made to scale, but using red or tan goatskin combinations rather than the red/gold colours of the original. I also add two glass beads which act as fasteners.
I make two versions. One is authentic which the lacing, and the other has less lacing to be more economically priced but is still in the same style.
